About

PocketPlaythrough started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots and arguing about which games were worth the storage space. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down properly, so here we are. Everything you read comes from someone who actually finished the level, not from a press release.

We pick games the boring way: we download a lot of them, play for at least a week, and drop the ones that stop being fun. Genre doesn't matter much to us, so you'll see everything from slow strategy titles to twitchy arcade runners. If a game only shines for the first hour, we say so.

The guides are meant to be read by people who are already stuck somewhere. We try to explain the mechanics clearly, point out the moments that trip everyone up, and give you a couple of tricks we wish we'd known earlier. No filler, no padding to hit a word count.

We're a small independent team, not a big media outlet. That means we can be picky and slow, which we think shows in the writing. If we recommend something, it's because we kept playing it after the review was done.
