Building your first party in Embersworn Legacy

Embersworn Legacy throws a lot of class options at you early, and it's tempting to grab whatever looks flashy. Resist that. In the opening chapters you want stability more than damage, and a solid frontline saves you a lot of restarts.

We had the best luck pairing a defensive tank with two flexible support-attackers and one dedicated healer. That combo let us survive the difficulty spike around the third area without grinding, which is where a lot of players stall out.

Don't sleep on the dialogue choices either. A few of them unlock small stat perks or extra recruits, and we missed a great support character on our first run because we rushed through a conversation.

The nice thing is that respeccing isn't punishing, so experiment freely once you're past the early chapters. Nothing you pick now locks you out of a better setup later.
